CANDACE LAVOIE, EA - OWNER
Candace joined Claiborne Lavoie & Associates in 2005 and enjoys the diversity of clients she works with as well as the challenges that arise from assisting those clients with tax planning and business consulting.
She relocated to the mountain area from Southern California with her family in 1992 and graduated from Yosemite High School in 1994. She is an enrolled agent with the IRS and has over 15 years of accounting experience.
She likes to read and enjoys spending time with family and friends. When the opportunity arises she likes to explore the beauty and grandeur of the Sierra Nevadas.
KRISTINA SMITH, ADVISOR
Kristina joined
the Claiborne & Associates family in December 2014.
She has a Masters of Science in Accountancy. She hopes to further her knowledge in the field to better help the mountain community.
She moved here from Kansas City, Missouri in 2005 and has loved every minute of it. In her down time she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
TAYLOR MESSINGER, ADVISOR
Taylor joined Claiborne Lavoie & Associates in 2022. She has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an option in Accounting from the Craig School of Business at Fresno State.
Taylor grew up in the Oakhurst area and married her high school sweetheart. After graduating from college, she followed her military husband to Alaska, where they adopted their twin boys.
Taylor and her family moved back to Oakhurst in 2017. She enjoys hiking and exploring National Parks with her family, creating random spreadsheets, and volunteering in her community.
MICHELLE HENDERSON, EA
Michelle joined Claiborne Lavoie & Associates in 2023.
She has been an Enrolled Agent in the mountain community since 2008 focusing on individual and small business tax matters.
She was born and raised in Ahwahnee where she and her husband are currently raising and homeschooling their two young daughters.
She loves rock climbing, riding her horses, paddle boarding, and adventures with her family.
